Our 8-year-old Oliver is one who can stare at a patch of water for hours, and often doesn’t hear the grown ups when they try to bring him into “reality”. Our kids don’t attend school so there’s plenty of opportunity for what some might judge as “zoning out”. Thanks for this. It was lovely.
Amazing so interesting to hear these fishy echoes brought to light, i have fished with similar dedication for most of my life though nowadays I am a keen bird and nature watcher, it’s wonderful how fishing, nature watching, a focused attention on that float or rod tip brings so much enjoyment and life enhancing skills to our lives 🐠
