In this 2024 series of Sunday Stories there will be one element that binds all the tales together: I’ve never recorded them before. They will be freshly baked bread, directly to you. Most will be new to me or a companion from years back. Many will be in the folk, fairy and wonder tale tradition. Sometimes I will add brief notes on the stories after reading them, more as prompts than anything. I’ve written many books on myth with exhaustive exegesis, so this will be a lighter touch. Rather than trying to turn the tale into a comprehensive plan, sit back a little and just pay attention to where your imagination circles back to. Which moment or moments have caught you?
